PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) 20.5g Sachet is used to help replace fluids and essential electrolytes lost through diarrhoea, vomiting and other conditions that can lead to dehydration. ORS works by providing glucose and electrolytes that help the body absorb water and restore fluid and electrolyte balance.

How to Use

Do not mix ORS with milk, juice, soft drinks or other beverages unless specifically instructed.
Prepare a fresh solution as directed and discard any unused solution according to the instructions on the packaging.
Possible Side Effects
ORS is generally well tolerated when prepared and used correctly. Possible problems may include:
* Nausea
* Vomiting, particularly if consumed too quickly
* Abdominal discomfort
* Bloating
Using an incorrectly prepared solution, especially one that is too concentrated, can cause dangerous electrolyte disturbances.
Warnings and Precautions
* Always use the correct amount of water specified on the sachet.
* Do not make the solution stronger or weaker than recommended.
* Use clean drinking water for preparation.
* Do not add extra sugar or salt.
* Seek medical advice if diarrhoea is severe, persistent or accompanied by blood in the stool.
* Seek urgent medical attention if there are signs of severe dehydration, such as extreme weakness, confusion, inability to drink, very little urine or loss of consciousness.
* Infants, young children, elderly people and seriously ill patients may require medical assessment when dehydrated.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
ORS can generally be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding when needed. Consult a healthcare professional if significant dehydration occurs or if you have concerns about its use.
Drug Interactions
ORS does not have significant interactions with most medicines. However, tell your doctor or pharmacist about any medicines you are taking, particularly if you have kidney or heart problems or have been advised to restrict your fluid or electrolyte intake.
Storage
Store the unopened sachets in a **cool, dry place**, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Once prepared, store and use the ORS solution according to the instructions on the product packaging. Do not use after the recommended storage period.
When to Seek Medical Advice
Seek medical attention if:
* Severe dehydration is suspected.
* Diarrhoea persists or becomes severe.
* There is blood in the stool.
* The patient cannot drink or repeatedly vomits.
* The patient becomes unusually sleepy, confused or weak.
* There is little or no urine.
